Earlier this year Sara and David were married at a local church and had the reception at Fox Hollow. I was delighted to be their professional wedding photographer. While talking to the couple before the wedding they told me they had a strange idea for pictures. They said they would like to stop at McDonald’s in-between the church and Fox Hollow. I was confused. I have never had a bride ask me to stop at a fast food place during the wedding. However they were more then happy to explain to me why. They had both worked there when they were younger and it is how they met. So they wanted to have pictures from a certain McDonald’s because it is symbolic to them. After hearing the reason it made complete sense to me and I was more then happy to take pictures there. The bride and groom had a great time. Each one was jumping behind the counter pretending to take the other’s order. Then they were using the drive thru window like they were working. It was so much fun to watch and be apart of. I was honored to shoot Sara and David and hope they had a great and memorable time.

Bourne Mansion is apart of the Lessings venues on Long Island. Recently they have renovated the outside and inside of the building. It looks amazing! With a new polished driveway, remodeled stairs and a glorious ballroom. I can’t wait to do more weddings at the Bourne Mansion this year!

Deciding what type of wedding you want to have is a big decision. Living on an island (Long Island) gives my brides an option of having a beach wedding. There is something special about having your wedding on a beach. The atmosphere is different, everyone has a relaxed and calm attitude and it adds an extra element to your pictures. The beach is magical. Theres no proper way to explain it except through pictures.

There are so many wedding ideas out there. Brides can choose a million different color combinations with various themes. This bride picked a pink and purple color scheme. With the red pink and purple in the flowers around the room. Along with the pink and purple accent lighting around the whole room. They also scattered rose petals around all the tables in various colors. It created a very romantic and welcoming feeling to the room. A great idea for any bride that wants a touch of elegance with a beautiful atomsphere.
